With the formation of a new Strategic Asset Management team, within the Asset Management Service, we are looking for an outstanding Strategic Asset Manager to enable an innovative organisation wide property management programme that will transform the Councils use of property assets in support of the Councils Property Asset Policy Principles:-
This is an exciting time to join the Council to make a real difference; working in the Asset Management Service and working with all Directorates and public and third sector partners. The new Strategic Asset Management Team has been designed to enable an organisation wide change in the way assets are used to deliver the Council’s priorities.
We’re seeking a property leader who can meet the challenge, through sustainable innovative and creative ways of working whilst having a passion for service excellence, in order to create an outstanding strategic property service that supports not only the Council and wider public sector services, but integrates asset management into support and enablement of the people, businesses and communities of Rotherham. You must have extensive previous experience of property management and development, including qualified Membership of the RICS with significant post-qualification experience. You will work closely with the different Directorates, within a Corporate Landlord model, you will oversee the (none education) Asset Management Policy, Strategy and programme delivery.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a brand new team that will play a key role in defining, developing and implementing a transformational programme of property change.

In order to support the Council’s requirement to save a further £41 million from its budget, by collective agreement, from 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2020 there is a temporary 1.15% pay reduction from the advertised substantive salary quoted, which will be spread out by means of a weekly/monthly deduction (dependent on pay frequency) from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure three additional day’s leave (pro rata for part time workers and new starters in year) will be granted.
