From 1st October, 2014, Council employees will be subject to a ‘Local Living Wage’. Employees whose hourly rate of pay falls below £7.65 will receive a pay supplement based on the difference between the hourly rate of the job and £7.65.
From 1st April, 2014, Council employees paid at Band D and above will have their salary temporarily reduced by 0.38% (broadly equivalent to the value of a day’s pay). Employees affected by this temporary measure will receive an additional days leave (pro rata).
